I really have no idea what this is actually called, but i quick google of a sunflower anatomy says these little bits in the center are disk flowers. Either way, it's a sunflower.
The things that are the most prominent in this picture are called stigma's. One of the sexual organs of flowers. The type of flower (but then the thing in a whole) is a composite flower. So, it's composed of multiple smaller flowers.
About the species, is hard to say because it is so zoomed in. I've never seen an orange sun flower, but that doesn't mean they don't exist
Ah ok And yep they are. And if you look carefully, almost in the left top corner, you can see one of the little flowers complete. So you see the stigma (splitting in two at the top), 5 flower petals in a star shape (one hiding a stigma of another flower), and at the base of the stigma you see some stamen.
BTW, the stigma is the purple/split part. The rest of those things is called the style
If you want to learn more about flower anatomy I suggest this page, it seems very easy to understand
Really lovely. I love the zoom and angle.
Really wonderful.

And it's not an orange sunflower. It starts off yellow at the tips of the petals, and as it comes into the center, it changes to a browny-red.

And thank you for the website. The only flower anatomy i know is practically the stamen, the long sticky bit that comes out.
